holy crap. southern california has NO shops. dont even bother searching for it.

jk... seriously, there are about 1000 shops in socal that specialize in SR's. just do a quick search and you'll find em.

Try checking out R&D Factory in Montebello (LA area). They're known to stock over 50 front clips & all sorts of parts. www.RNDFactory.com is their website. They have good stuff. They supply Signal Auto with their motors so they much be doing something right.

Jim Wolf- I went there with a friend and we were giving them thier part number and asking to buy shit, they lied through thier teeth to us and said that the don't do ANY work on imports at all. so i will never go back and encourage anyone else not to go bthere, if they lie about thier parts, i would hate to see them BSing thier way through a complex install.

hopupracing-MON-FRI 10:00AM-5:00PM this is a parts ordering place as far as i can tell, i have wanted to go there and check it out for about 2 years, but i work M-F 7am-5pm so it will never happen.

pandagradge- have heard things, but seems more of an import buisness than a tuneing shop i don't know, people who know about htem haven't recomended, so i stay away.

mossey performance- this is a dealership not a tuneing shop. A+++ for haveing a shop nearby that has hard to find stock nissan parts, but once again on the tuneing aspect.......... what would a american dealership do to tune a ageing nissan platform with a non-american motor and third party bolt ons with a hacked emmissions system?

not to be mean, but when i was haveing my fuel pump problems, there were only one or two place in LA that i would have went to for quality RB work, and 0 in San Diego. San diego is tune yourself, or like lots of SD people do, drive you car up to LA to get it tuned.

but I don't pretend to be the all encompassing shop guy in San Diego, i am done looking as i am moveing next week, but would like to see some shops around here to refer people i know down here to go to.

Tenchuu.. I am actually having a similar problem.

I have a redtop sr which I blew up (lead foot+ high boost + SMIC = death... I know.. I know....)

I lived in El Cajon... there are NO sr20det oriented shops that would do work on your motor... I once called Jim Wolf, who referred me to McKinney Motorsports... who then referred me to AEBS, who then said I am pretty much shit out of luck. None of them do work. They make parts, sell them... and hope that some one will know how to put them on themselves. Because of them, I felt I had nowhere to go... so I tore my block apart and replaced my piston myself. The sad part is... after I fixed that one cylinder... two others started squirting oil from their valve seals... so I have been on a long winded hunt doing some headwork on the motor. Ive gotten all of the cylinders to stop smoking except for number two.. which is really dumping oil in there. Needless to say.. my nissan has been out of order for a long time due to lack of funds and time. ;_;

That is why I have been looking for a decent shop to do even some headwork on imports. I will be able to source the parts, but with no one to do the work... it looks like I get to spend some more money on tools.
