I have a Brand New Garrett GT2871r .86 that has never been installed. I bought it from Speed Factor back in December when they were having the sale for $1050. I asked for the .64 a/r but they sent me the .86 on accident and now that they're out of business i cannot trade it with them.

So if someone has a gt2871r .64 a/r that wants more power, i will be glad to trade my .86 with you.

If no one wants to trade i'll let it go for $1000

Located in SOCAL... Orange, CA to be exact

i'll upload pics of the turbo tomorrow when i get my camera back

Or you could buy the smaller housing.... shouldn't be more than 150 or so.

hows $999 for you? =D lol... if i cant find someone to trade and cant sell to anyone for around that price i'm probably just going to keep it and run it or buy a new housing for it.

to be honest, not very low. I basically just want a trade... cause if i cant find a trader i'll probably keep it

i was thinking about doing this also... do you know how hard it is to change the housing? and is there any balancing you need to do?

Just unbolt the old housing and bolt the new one on. The CHRA stays the same, so no need for anything else, no balancing.

What coolnick said is the truth. Do it, it's cheap and you'll get what you wanted to begin with.

haha shush angel... i'm jealous of your .64! are you holding the record for it? cause thats damn high!

oh yeah one more thing on changing the turbine housing... I was lookin on the garrett site and isnt the Compressor different for each turbo?

heres the link:

as for trades... the only thing i really need right now is a .64 turbo... unless you have a rollcage or a 2way to trade for

I think it may be a record....?? I'm not aware of a higher dyno on an sr with this backside, but who knows.

As for the differences, there are two different trim comp wheels but as far as I know the turbine wheel is the same between the 2 and should allow you to swap between without issue.

The .64 really is the better choice of the 2 for a 2 liter, if you want more power you really should just go to a top mount t3 housing setup... 400+ with the same kind of spool seen in the .64 t2 housing.
