Hi guys.
I've been collecting parts and building this car for the last year but I'm honestly burned out on 240's and I think it's just time for something different. I finished this car about two months ago and have put about 200 miles on it since then. I love it but I just want something different. I don't enjoy driving them anymore. With that said, onto the car.
I purchased this car about a year ago. It was a bone stock 1997 Nissan 240sx SE 5speed with 97k miles. After purchasing it, I gutted the entire car for for paint. Every panel on this car was painted, nothing was left untouched. All jams, engine bay, etc. The car was painted brickyard burgandy off the Nissan 350z while the engine bay was painted JDM battleship grey. I also added JDM front and rear Kouki bumpers with JDM zenki sideskirts and a K's spoiler. For a final touch, I added a JDM gracer front lip.
After paint, everything in the engine bay was reassembled. Every part that wasn't replaced was cleaned throroughly before install. New brake booster, brake master cylinder, clutch master cylinder, and clutch slave cylinder were all installed.
Next came the engine. I purchased a 1998 Kouki 180sx SR20det clip and had the motor installed. The clip had 28k KM, which is roughly 16k miles. While the motor was out, I had the front and rear main seals replaced before the ACT street/strip clutch was installed. I also had a Kiwi exhaust manifold, Forced Performance Big T28 and Kiwi Turbo outlet installed.coupled with 660cc injectors from Touge Factory. I then purchased an Apex'I GTR core, then had endtanks welded on and custom piping fabricated so a Miata battery would still be able to be used up front. I also had the valve cover sprayed House of Kolors Kandy Lime Gold.
As far as suspension, Silk Road RM/A8 coilovers and Kazama rear upper control arms were put on. I purchased brand new S15 front hubs along with new S15 front calipers and rotors. The calipers were sprayed House of Kolors Kandy Lime Gold. I then purchased 17x9 Bee*R wheels and coupled with the Kics bolt on spacers have a 0 offset. For tires, I bought 215/40/17 Kumho 711s which have less than 5 miles on them.
As for the interior, I wanted to leave it relatively stock since I wanted to be comfortable driving this car.
I added a Veilside boost gauge, Apex'i AFC, FJO wideband, and a JDM double din Pioneer CD/mp3/mini disk/WMA/etc player.
I think that's all but I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting. I'll edit the post if there is anything else I remember.
Nothing was done half ass on this car. All aftermarket parts were purchased brand new and have less than 20 miles on them.
I'll post more pictures and a detailed spec list this afternoon, I'm on my lunch break now. The only thing that has changed since these pictures were taken was the car was lowered about an inch in the rear.
I'm asking 17,000 OBO. The car is available for viewing in Atlanta, GA and no test drives will be given until I have a deposit on the car. No joyrides, no tirekickers please.
