Today is the early bird registration deadline for the 2002 240SX National
Convention!
If you do not register and pay by today, the price of your registration goes
up!
Some of you have asked me why you should register... well, here's one VERY
IMPORTANT reason.
The parking lot at Nissan North America that we will be using is not a very
large parking lot, probably space for about 100-120 cars. People that have
registered will be guaranteed a spot in this lot, based on a number that we
will assign to all attendees that have registered and are bringing a car to
the event.
If you do not register for the event, you can still show up and attend and
watch, but you cannot park in the parking lot. Space will be given to those
that have registered as first priority, and if there are no more spaces left
then you will be forced to park on the streets (Figueroa, 190th St, etc).
Please note that there will not be enough spaces to allow all of the people
attending the event to park inside the big parking lot at Nissan (between
the 9-story Nissan building and the 2-story Infiniti building). Only by
registering can you be guaranteed a space inside, or else you park wherever
else you can find a space.
So far, we have over 90 people registered, people coming from as far as
Florida, New York, Massachusetts, Vancouver, to name a few places.
For those of you that are interested in the track event and haven't
registered or paid yet, YOU MUST PAY ME BY NEXT MONDAY or else the opening
spots in the run groups will be opened up to members of SERCA and the Z
Club. Then, I will give SpeedTrial my final count of pre-registration track
people after that, and the groups would be considered filled and no more
applications for the track event will be accepted.
In case you are wondering what cool stuff will be at the event (or at least
I'm working on):
- HKS 180SX drag car (confirmed)
- Signal Auto widebody S15
- Signal Auto S13 (S15 front end, etc)
- Escort 300ZX drag car
- Nissan Japan, Mr. Shinjiro Yukawa (chief product specialist, Silvia
platform)
- Skyline GT-R owner's meet
- Nismo/Nissan North America project cars
Coverage of the event will be done by Import Tuner, Sport Compact Car, Super
Street, Overboost.com, SpeedOptions.com, and many more.
If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them.
