on this website http://www.optionsauto.com/prodinfo.asp?number=FID-843020 it says the short shifter is for 89-98 240sx, i have a 95 with s13 sr20 redtop, will it work? also has anyone had experience with this short shifter before?

Yeah, it'll work with an SR. I've got one, it's rather nice. The lowest bushing cap thing it comes with is plastic like the stock one, so I guess it will wear out fairly quick. Only real problem I have with mine is that the place where the upper and lower pieces of the shifter screw together doesn't hold real tight and I have to use teflon tape in it or else it slowly unscrews itself. It does shorten the throw considerably and has a shitload less slop than the stock shit. It's weighted nicely as well.

can you just use locktite red?
