ok another issue... i have heard that when you swap the tranny in a sohc you dont have to worry about the ECU.. what about in a dohc? 92 coupe SE!? or you dont have to worry about the ECU in any s13? or would i have to get an ECU from another 240 with manual tranny or i have also heard about a cable in the ECU that tells the engine you are always on neutral which makes the manual tranny work with an auto ECU with no problems... is any of that true?

You only need be concerned about the flywheel. The manual flywheel is not the same as the auto flywheel. If you need one, I have one for sale. Email me at [email protected] Very good shape, no missing teeth just needs to be resurfaced. If you want it lightened and balanced I can get that done as well. Good alternative to a Fidenza or one of those aftermarket flywheels.

You can use an auto ecu on a s13 tranny swap. Should be no problems. Note, that you will not have the clutch lockout feature tho'.
