I have an apexi n1 exhaust, and I just installed my rear aero, and now my exhaust looks to sunken in, what do you guys do to make the muffler flush? do they sell exhaust spacers or somethin, or am I going to have to go to an exhaust shop and have the muffler cut, and a new extender pipe welded on?

but out here we use custom exhaust because its so cheap.

I used to be able to get exhaust spacers when i was in Japan, but right now i have the Apexi exaust control valve that you bolt in between the pipes and it pushes my exhaust out a little bit more.

i have custom exhaust also, if you wanna keep your apex catback i say use a tip extender basically just a polished piece of metal you bolt onto your tip to make it look flush.

I think im going to try to make my own tip extender, the hardest part is wii be trying to find a pipe wide enough. Ill probolly try some muffler shops and see how that turns out.

Yeah take it to exhaust shop or get a tip.
I got custom exhaust too although raspy at 4500-5000 rpm the sound all around is great! Straight pipe no cat 2.5" all the way back.

go get a tip... the same diameter as ur outlet tip.... have the exhaust shop widen it a little bit so it can fit over ur can tip.... then either have them tack weld it or u can drill a hole and use a nut and bolt to tighten it down.....

What about the hot exhaust gasses exiting onto the bumper and all underneath your aero...

They shouldn't be that hot if you're not going fast or reving it out, which would push it past the bumper anyways. get one of those metal plates if you're really worried about it. It would look better than a "tip extender"...

what the hell are you talking about. also apexi exhausts are crap. thats why you see like 4 threads every week about the mufflers rusting off.

my car makes fire. if my exhaust ended behind my rear bumper, my rear bumper would also have fire. fire bad for fiberglass.

^^^like that

and if you don't want your muffler to rust off, buy the stainless Evo or a GT-spec!

everyone knows what it looks like. a piece of aluminum on your bumper isnt going to keep it from catching fire when your exhaust is so sunk that the backside of the fiberglass is black.

what kind of bumper do you have? if you have a hatch with cat back exhaust, the tip should be quite flush, i only thought coupes would have the problem of sunken mufflers, since they are a little longer than hatch
my exhuast was sunk in like 3-4", but i was running a rps13 cat-back on a coupe
so i just got a muffler shop customed it to sit flush

alright, alright, so maybe the URAS ones don't look so bad. I was scared of some ebay "fix-it-all" part coming up or something. My bad.
