The tense of my progress will be off. You'll see that the maroon hatch turned into my parts car. The frame was bent when I bought it with a salvage title. I did all of this to the white coupe I picked out of a junkyard that had been sitting for a good year.
Finally pulled the steering rack, brakes, front hubs, entire rear subframe, clutch stuff, and some other stuff off the parts car to transfer over to my coupe. It was cold but I was out all night working on it. So far the steering rack is on the white one and I will be transferring it to the garage tomorrow to get the subframe mounts replaced, pull the engine, and dohc swap the bi*ch.

To the person that guesses how I moved the car without rear wheels inside the garage from out in the pasture will receive a no-bake cookie in the mail.
Oh yes so much progress. Motor could be out in a night but who knows how long it will take to replace the rear subframe mounts. Lots of welding/torching/and tapping ahead.
OH yes the race has begun....1/2whites13 will suffer a tremendous loss and regret ever competing.....701/2camaro will definately be coming in last. jk.
Starting ripping out the emssions and have the wiring harness undone.

Being that three of the four subframe studs were broken off I debated what to do and ended up welding just thre lower thread portion. The fact that most of the forces on the stud were lateral I figured it was the best choice to do since the threads don't to much except fo the lateral support of the subframe.
Here is a result of the welded studs...

The red hatch already has (built by me):
- Supertech Pistons 8.5:1
- Crower rods
- Balanced assembly
- Old BD mani
- Soon to be a GT32 or GT35
- JWT cams
- Mild P&P
- Fidanza FW
- ACT xtreme street (maybe will upgrade to a puck)
- Tial 38mm
- Greddy type s
- Bikirom (yes it works)
- Hacked up harness that will be tucked
I'm ripping the engine out as you see to paint the roof and engine bay gloss black, rebuild another block with clevite 77's and valvetrain upgrades, and coilovers with full energy bushings.
I'm a perfectionist....so yes I ripping it all apart and will have the timing covers, intake mani, valve cover, pulleys, misc engine bay stuff, and I forget what else to have powdercoated probably by TRG.
Depending on how I want to approach this I might just look for a solid 375-400 to the wheels on pump gas if I go with the GT32.
