Sorry to hear that man! I'm up North so if the thieves make their way up here I'll know. Keep checking craigslist, be relentless about this.

No that wasn't the neighborhood it was stolen from, but the neighborhood I live in is similar. Haven't had any stolen cars around our area for the past several years and all of a sudden my car goes missing. Out of five s13s in my neighborhood, mine was taken. I'll keep checking out every listing. Thanks for the support!

another one shit sorry to hear bout ur car bro, my friends was stolen last week and still no news about it, i want to catch these people stealing all these 240s, i kind of wanna stay on the east coast now considering cali is filling up with fuckin thieves its rediculous nobody works hard for anything and the ones that do work for their stuff get fucked over by these kinds of people, lo-jack would be a good investment
silverarrow27
03-28-2006, 07:01 PM
Thanks guys, but yeah I'm hoping to catch these guys before the police does...they're going to go armless forever if I catch them to make sure they never steal again.
raz0rbladez909: Saw that post...Mo Val is actually very near to me too. Hopefully it's not the same guys. Hope your friend gets his car back in one piece as well, I'm going to probably give it a month before I get a new ride. Most likely get out of the 240sx scene for awhile. Probably get a civic 4 dr automatic to daily driver for now.

not to bash a little but the front mount intercooler screams out something to thieves, especially if it was parked out in the open like that. anyways, it already happened. should have done anti theft before the performance mods tho. other than that i hope you get it back and i hope the thieves suddenly melt.

im located in LA so if you guys need alarm installed i can do it not at your house and not on the street but at a place called soundwaves where i work. professionally installed and i will tell you what you should get and its only up to you to get it or not i take pride in my installation so no mickey mouses and installations are gauranteed for as long as your have your car. also we have something better than lo-jack its for cliffords vipers and pythons. you can shut down the car with just a phone call make it so you know where it is by just logging on to the internet and will call you if your car is being stolen.
[email protected] is the email if you have questions. oh and since im a silvia lover there will be a 15% discount for all silvia owners who come in telling me about this post. im doing this cause i hate those theifs. gl to all and take care.

sucks.. sure everyone can say "you shoulda.." ... the fact is people shouldnt steal in the first place.. people gonna say "oh it happens".. fawk that, it shouldnt have been stolen in the first place. I feel you man. shit is getting out of hand in socal 951... They need to stricten the laws towards theft, get hands cut off or soemthing.

Honda theft rates when up when hondas were the IT car... people recognize that stealing a camry may net them a quick $1000 in crash repair parts, but stealing a vehicle equipped with aftermarket parts that are quickly disposable, hard to track, and in demand is much more profitable. Don't invest in your car without investing in some kind of antitheft... you wouldn't leave your intercooler, wheels, or exhaust laying out on the street... and parking without antitheft is doing just that.
if it makes you feel better an s14 was stolen here in Houston and it was successfully recovered with only minor damage a week or two later.

Come on now, get real.
In the real world, your shit is gonna get jacked if you make it easy (read: NO antitheft)
I feel bad for the threadstarter, it sucks that his shit got took, and it sucks more that fucking people steal shit to begin with, but before you start buying all this shit for your car, you should probably spend a couple hundred on some antitheft.

He is not in LA! His sig says socal, he is actually out east of LA. Its a lot different out there. The rate of 240's getting stolen in the city of Los Angeles is very low. The rate of 240's getting stolen in San Diego is much higher as well as the Inland Empire.

Still no word on the car...it's been two weeks now. I'm assuming I'll never see the car again. I'll give it another week or two before I find myself another car.
And I'm located in the Inland Empire as drift_freaq had mentioned.

Dude I'm sorry to hear that. I got my car stolen a couple of months ago in Hawaii. I was really lucky to get my car back with everything still on the car. Just minor cosmetic damage. I know this doesn't really help but I know how it feels. Best of luck finding the car and all I can say is karma. What goes around comes around. So they'll get whats coming to them. Good luck again.

jesus man, my daily driver with all the mods except for a motor (no fmic) was ALMOST stolen two weeks ago, they got in took all my stuff and my cds and destroyed the steering key lock mechanism but didnt get to drive it away, i found the hood popped too, prolly checking for sr20 engine.
Its getting hot thanks to the drifiing fad, im not parking the beast on the street when it gets running, the big ic and cams will be enough to draw attention especially after the cage.

Well it's been two months and two-three days now and no word. It's probably all parted out and crush/cut up somewhere. Thanks for all your concerns and help! Watch out for your cars...I've recently purchased an s13 coupe and trying to get the sr I swapped in running. Got spark and fuel with correct ignition timing. New spark plugs, oil, etc etc...cranks cranks cranks but does not start. I'll be switching the harness and ecu from my old gray s13 coupe that I sold to my brother to see if my car will start up. If it does start I will contact the previous owner about the harness and/or ecu I had purchased from.
Oh and my brother's s13 coupe was almost stolen two weeks ago as well. Same place where I took the picture of my car at. He said it was four guys in a late 80s Sentra shitty green, cheapo rims and n1 style muffler. He chased them down and got their license plate number down. We looked up their smog history on the dmv website and it shows that their car was last smogged in Coachella Valley. I've been told that there's a chop shop in Palm Desert and a few performance shops local in the inland empire area that does similar things. Brother reported the vehicle break-in, have not heard from the police since that night. I've also been told from a few friends that on occasion that same sentra I just described drives around town so next time I see them they'll be sure to have a few cars following them back home. I have a feeling my car was also stolen from the same guys or one of the local performance shops here in the inland empire.
Steve: Good to hear they didn't get your car. Good thing you didn't have a running engine in there! And yes it's definitely the drifting fad...I'm sure I'll be seeing you at California Speedway soon, if ever I get my coupe running again.
MODS: You guys can go ahead and take it off sticky...maybe should start a sticky thread how to wire in kill switches and other anti-theft measures for their cars?

maybe should start a sticky thread how to wire in kill switches and other anti-theft measures for their cars?
Ummm...NO. That would not be a good Idea. That's like saying,"hey theives, here's where you might want to look to find out how we're tying to outsmart you." If you don't know how to wire a switch read a book, or search the internet. People that are smart won't give up their secrets. Besides the info is already out there, why should we make it so obvious?
silverarrow27
05-31-2006, 08:53 PM
Well, it's not like you're going to tell where your kill switch or switches are...it's just basic general information how to wire in a kill switch safely and opinions of other theft-deterrents that may help besides alarm systems. But like what some people have said already...if the thieves really want it, they'll get it no matter what secrets you have. A common thief isn't going to spend very long in a car trying to find what you've done to the car I'm sure.

My younger brother's fastback which was stolen two weeks ago was found this past weekend and it was totally stripped down. Interior is all gone except dash, cluster, and front seats. Ka24e was missing some misc parts like stock intake, filter, valve cover, all fuses, and battery. Coilovers, 17" 5 spoke ebay gunmetal rims, cd player, all speakers, passenger side window, and tail lights were also stolen.
We know these guys are in Desert Hot Springs or Cathedral City. May even be between there somewhere, we have a license plate number and vin of the car thieves. We just need help locating an address so we can pay the owner of the vehicle a visit and then his friends after that after we're through with the first guy. For all I know the thieves may even be on this forum and the other 240sx forums as well...warning to you car thieves, the day we find your ass, you and your buddies are going to pay with your hands physically.

yeah my car got jacked toooooo! And it sucks balls. People in the 240 scene need to just watch out for each others shit so the virus will leave the community. I have a good idea who stole my car but unless you have some evidence it's hard to point a finger. I think it had something to do with a shop in the bay area. Goodluckbro.
