hey there guys, I just recently purchased a turbo, the one i mentioned above, with a .96 exahaust outlet and a .70 inlet from the turbo. Do you guys think its too big of a turbo to be boostin on my 95 240??I might consider saving some money up and buy one of those HRT built motors! i would like to hit maybe around 300-400rwhp....its also a vband turbo which makes it alot easier to take off and put back on when i do get a down pipe for it...if it doesnt fall through..i might be willing to accept offers but ill post later for that! it has barely to minimum of no shaft play:2f2f: at all and was used for only a month prior to when i received it! thanks a head of times for your guys opinions!:aw:

.96??? t04s? 300-400 rwhp?? Crack cocaine, my friend.

i would reccomend my setup. t3/t04e 50 trim, .48 exhaust. 350-400 on race gas no problem, if your motor can handle it.

yea pretty damn big... i think that's the "big shaft" turbo as well, meaning that is most likely meant for an RX7 or v8 in the 600whp range...
thats just my guess...
the higher the exhaust a/r means the more exhaust gases needed to push the wheel... .63 is a good one for 4cylinders

60-1 is an old-style T04B-based turbo; has terrible efficiency compared to newer turbos (even T04E turbos)... it falls out of efficiency at around 17-18psi... the .96 a/r exhaust will cause spoolup to be horrendously slow.

Spoolup will already be a little slow just because its a 60mm wheel already. If you want a turbo in the 60mm range, get a T61 (which is a T-series turbo based on the 'E' design.

I've seen supra guys make around 500whp or so with a 60-1 vs 600whp+ on a T61 and they offer about the same spool rates and cost maybe within $150 of one another.
