Go with S13. Ya its not as wide or stiff as S14, but if you fuck something up, eh, junkyard parts are easy to find everywhere. An entire car is like $1000 and under.

if you don't like being duplicated on the streets, get s14 its more rare.

it all comes down to weather you want a newer or older chassy. both s13 and s14 have their advantages. engine wise both the 91-94 chassy and the s14 use same engines so parts should not let you decide which one you want becuase you will be replacing most suspension parts anyways. I own a s13 chassy and i love it but if i were to do it again i would go with a s14. at the time being it was out of my budget range and alot more rare to find a clean s14 then a clean s13. I had to wait about 1.5 years of looking before i found my 92 that was in decent condition and the specs were not falsified in the for sale ad. I went to see a s14 one time with owner claiming it to be in excellent condition. when i arrived it was obviusly hit on the rear quater panel
, pulled to one side excessivly and leaked oil like a mofo. :smash:
It all comes down to how patient you are and what you are willing to accept as your ideal car and how much are yopu willing to spend to bring it back to your ideal specs.
gl and yes search:D

S14's for life. Nothing beats the sexyness of a zenki.

both are great
i have a s14
had an s13
wish i still had an s13
nothing beats a rad dumped hatch on te37s w/ agressive aero and a nice motor and interior
and u can rock 2 bucket seats in a hatch and still put wheels in the back seat area...unlike an s14
sigh..i wish i had a s13 hatch.

I agree, the S14 zenki is the best looking of all the 240s in my opinion. I have driven two different S13s and neither where as extensively modified as my S14, so its hard to make a direct comparison. The overall feeling I got was the S14 is more composed. S13 is a little twitchy.
My brother has an S13 hatch and I love the utility of it, but it is the least attractive of all the 240s made! Wheels, bikes, transmissions whatever. Just brace the hell out of the chassis.
If I did it all over again I would do another zenki S14 despite having to take wheels to the track in the front passenger seat.

I love my S14 and won't give it up, but, I wouldn't mind picking up a S13 coupe too.

S13 Coupe > All other S Chassis
 Ok maybe it's not THAT great, but I love mine.
I had the option of buying a '98 SE, 5-speed in Pearl White when I bought my POS-13. Sometimes I kick myself for not buying such a beautiful car. But I bought my S13 outright instead of making payments on the S14. Both chassis are great. I wouldn't mind picking up an S14, Zenki or Kouki doesn't really matter. But I'll never give up my S13 Coupe.

are you seeing the pattern? most people love what they have and can appreciate the other. i have a zenki s14 and love it, and my brother has a s13 hatch and loves it. get what YOU like.

i have an s13 coupe probably the only advantage is the weight on the s14 but the both have the same motor, take a look a both cars and figure out what you want out of them 240's are dope either way so be patient and find yourself a clean 240 :)

what are you looking for in a chassis? You want a car that feels like a sports car? Drives like a sports car? Sounds like a sports car, because it is a sports car? Do you want a car that screams toss me when you go into a turn? Then you would want a S13.
Do you want a car that says I am solid, I am bigger, but I handle too? that says I am quite and comfortable as well? I am a refined sports coupe! Then you would want a S14.
In the end, equally setup, both versions of the cars are amazing, in the handling department, but have completely different feel to them.
This is really something you have to figure out on your own, it will be based on your personal opinion and feel. No one, can actually tell you which one to buy, that is your decision and your decision solely.

if you want a car that in the end will not be much better, but MUCH more expensive to start... get a S14

both great. ive had 3 s13s and no have an s14.
if you have the time/money and want to build a race car i like the s13 better.
if you are going to race it and daily drive then s14 wins hands down game over.
as far as drift the s14 feels more solid and a slightly slower to rotate than s13. more stable in drift too. while only a little heavier than the s13 it feels at least 200-300 lbs heavier. (IMO)
save your pennies and get a z33.

all about S13s in my opinion! Makes you take bigger risks and its more fun sence you do not have to worry as much about messing it up :), plus i love the look on peoples face when i come whiping around a turn in my little s13, its also fun to race ghetto ricers when they think there civic is god :)

S14 but wish i had extra cash for S13 hatch
Driving hard?
S13
Daily Driving?
S14
I've had both versions of the S13, coupe and hatch,
and have driven my friend's S14.
The S14 was quiet, refined, and quite frankly made my S13's feel like toys.
You can really feel the added heft of the S14, making it feel more like a luxury coupe than a sports car.
The S13's however, feel fun and agile, ready to be flicked through apexes at a whim. I came very close to buying an S14, but am happy that I went with a sweet little S13 coupe instead.
It's all up to you, but I really love the smaller size and fun demeanor of the S13, especially the coupe. Maybe in the future, I'll get a kouki S14 to join them.
