Owning a 240 anymore is such unbelievable bullshit. At the rate these things keep increasing for being a theft target, I might as well sell my car now too avoid taking a fat sausage in my ass later. To eliaborate i went to a bar in the middle of east bumble f**k, and stop in for 1 friggin drink and take no more than a half hour.(And me thinking hell I am in the middle of nowhere, like a dumbass leave it unlocked) Come out to find my headunit gone, has well as interior pieces busted to shiz and ganked. Luckly they didnt get my boost gauge, but now my turning signals are disabled, and i got a culster f*ck of wires hanging out my dash. I swear from this point forward its a silly ass alarm, a club, and a guard migdet named eduardo that injects people with rabbies and then gang f*cks them with his possy. And so help me god anyone looking at my car is getting shot in the face with pellet gun. Sorry about that this just happend and i feel alittle violated.
If anyone else has similiar problems with these cars and stories feel free to share.

Sucks man, sorry. I know theft and I know how much it sucks.
I don't think this was because you have a 240sx. I think this was because you left your car unlocked, and had stuff to steal. If they didn't take your boost gauge, then the thieves didn't know anything about performance parts, and probably not much about 240s either.
Lots of thieves are just amature thugs, and these ones got lucky and found an easy target.

Yeah not really to do with it being a 240 but I hear ya.
Hang in there, maybe consider getting a beater for daily drive if your 240 is a target.
Did you take your faceplate off? I know you thought you'd be in for a quick drink but still, doesn't hurt to be safe rather than sorry.
Karma will serve thieves, no worries.

While I do feel for you loss, you had no alarm and you left your car unlocked.
it's on you, dude.
I had a alarm and I left it disarmed, left my shit unlocked, my $500 Alpine deck disappeared in a nice neighborhood overnight.
No one to blame but me.
Good luck next time, tho

I call these little knuckledragger theives "Jawas". Because they are so stupid, that if it is shiny enough then they will risk their lives in order to get at it. They are usually too dumb and poor to acces the internet to discover that they could buy a brand new head unit on fookin ebay for 30 bucks. So it isn't even profitable for these idiots to fence radios anymore. Probably just another gak head looking to fund that next fix who wouldn't know a 240 from a 350.

Well, some thieves broke into my locked car and stole stuff from me.
Had to park kinda far from my apartment in the parking lot cause my gf and I made a late night Walmart run and got back to the apartment at around 2:30am. Parked next to this truck thing that never moves, and it kinda blocks my view of it from my apartment windows and what not.
Next morning, go to the car, noticed something wrong. My door was barely latched (not fully closed), the door handle had been pryed open, and my steering wheel was gone (it was a Nardi classic 330mm in black).
The thieves had broken my HKB hub (looked like they chiseled it) to steal my wheel, stole my Razo shift knob in the center console, stole my Defi D-gauge water temp sensor, and took my tool bag with all my tools in it.
Here's the kicker, the steering wheel was bolted onto the hub by phillips screws. They could have used my own tools against me and stole my shit with them.
Also, they un-pinned the 2 wires that were the water temp sensor's from the back of my Defi gauge to steal it. They were dumb enough to chisel my HKB hub off, and yet intelligent enough to un-pin 2 small electrical pins?
But yeah, that's all they took, everything else was left untouched.
Am pretty sure it's an inside job, like someone that lives in the complex, as they knew that the truck was in my way, and they knew that we had gone to bed, blah blah blah.
Now I've gotten an alarm, and never park too far from my apartment. If I have to park far, I'd make sure either I can see my car, or someone else can see my car easily from their windows.

I here ya man it just sucks. it seems like they are just getting more brazin with there efforts to steal shit anymore. its like everyone is hooked on crack. Oh and the only reason i left my shit unlocked is cause i got to used to driving a ford tow-us around that didnt need locking, so that prolly played a part to in my judgement to leave it unlocked.

I feel the same way man. It sucks but if somebody wants my car hard enough, theyll steal it or sheit from it. All i can do is make it harder on them. Things ive done so far, relocated hood latch cable, dark ass tint so you cant see inside the car, the usual alarm, clutch interlock switch, removable steering wheel with a lock and since i still dont feel its enough, imma wire a switch to my fuel pump soon enough. I figure pop the steering wheel off, lock it and toss the wheel in the trunk. Disable the interior trunk release so they cant get to the wheel. If they can get the wheel out from the back seat, Ill give em props cuz i got a subbox back there and a tool box that their gonna have to get tru to get to the steering wheel.

Well, my civic daily driver was broken into twice in Mira Mesa when we lived there, 1st time at a friends house....yanked my cd's and a camera then left my trunk open. 2nd time, parked right outside our bedroom window, smashed my pass side window, then took their sweet time taking out a cheesy cd player that barely worked. But, they were nice enough to not cut any wires...they unplugged it all, then had the nice thought of locking my door on the window they had just busted out. Nice of them.

are we supposed to feel sorry for you because you left your car unlocked. I know its so hard to lock your car up and it might take an extra three seconds of your life, but you could have had any car and left it unlocked, someone might steal your radio. still doesnt make it right that they did, and it sucks.

Sorry you got jacked!!! My friend's car got broken in to, went through the alarm as well!! Freakin thieves!!!! If your broke like me, you dont have to worry about it. I bought my car without the radio, and I always spend my money on other up grades first. Can't seem to justify the radio yet!

For real.
I've owned my car 3 years, and been running for a little over 2.5 years (took awhile to do my swap since I was like 60 miles away from my car and had no ride of my own at the time of the swap). The car didn't come with a radio, and I still haven't spent the money on a radio yet.
Who needs a radio when you have a nice sounding exhaust and compressor surge + the occational blow off after a nice little turbo whistle? haha

Shiet my co worker had it worst. He started his car to warm it up while its on his driveway...he walked back inside to put away his cereal bowl and get his bag. Came out, the cars gone. They found it in Rialto behind a shop...Yay right? Well it was behind a shop, chopped up on 5 different pallets.

Sorry to hear it, but it has nothing to do with you owning a 240... coulda (and prolly woulda) happened if you drove ANY car with something of value, and didnt lock the doors... better luck next time i suppose.

you think the government would try to crackdown on carjackers rather than people modifing their cars. Well sorry to hear bout your car man.
My daily was broken into in santa cruz, they took my cds and my 2 watches i got for my birthdays but they left the 400dollar camera and my cellfone. Go figure, then some theives broke into my z32 and jacked 3k worth of stereo equip in front of my house when i was out town (although my parents were home), and later a bunch of cracker jacks broke into my brothers car in front of our house just last year. Crazy thing is we leave in a "decent" suburb neighborhood.
