Just got the album, and its pretty dope. Reggae(sp?), hip hop, r&b type of music. Good studying music haha. Listen to king without a crown, then go online and look at his pic. You would never think that he is the artist of the song. This guy is dope!

Yeah, the local radio stations have been playing him for a few weeks here. I was a bit surprised when I learned his background, I'll admit. But just goes to show we shouldn't judge so quickly. Or some other profound statement like that. :D
P.S. No Pirating references please. Stealing is BAD!

yeah his music has always been pretty good IMO. now i might have to get his CD since alot of people have been saying its pretty good.
if you like YOUTH listen to 'shake off the dust... arise' and 'live at stubbs' albums. songs are more chill and the evolution unfolds before you.

As for his beatboxin, its sick. Have you seen block party? Dave Chappell's beatboxin is pretty good too.

Damm... had written a paragraph but my stupid browser crapped on me.
The guy has crazy skills, that goes without saying.
But I can't shake the feeling that his newlyfound maintream acceptance seems fabricated, almost too 'flavor of the month'.
I wonder if, aside from underground like hes been for quite some time, he is going have a thriving career in the public eye.
I didn't care for his firs studio album, it's dry and feels like a he made a bad choice in producer. The Live At Stubbs album on the other hand is amazing. I highly recommend. Haven't gotten around to checking out the new one yet.

Ya i hear him beatbox a bit on Kroq the other morning...I love his "king without a crown" but I really haven't heard anything else from him. Maybe I'll pick up a cd once I hear another single.

Yeah my friend turned me on to him a couple months ago. I have Live at Stubbs and listen to it quite a bit. He seems to have suddenly gotten very popular.

Hmmm.. i dunno. Only so many raggae orthodox jewish songs I can listen to regardless of how skilled the guy is. I would love to hear more of a variety of songs from him. Maybe it's just the atheist in me.
