you theoretically could mate the S15 6-speed to a KA Bellhousing.  Or you could buy a racing 6-speed gear set from Quaife for about $7000 (it will have no synchros)

The case design is different between the FS5W71C (KA and SR 5 speed) and the FS6R92A (SR 6 speed).  The bellhousing won't swap.

I guess your stuck with the $7000 option, OR, you could just buy an S15 SR w/ 6speed tranny for 7000

Shit for that money buy a new 240 and drop a s15 engine in it

From what I hear the 5spd is stronger than the 6spd anyway so you maybe better off w/ the 5spd. &nbsp; But if you want a 5spd go for it. &nbsp; It will be pretty cool to see a 6spd KA. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

they have to be at least close.. I wonder if there is a way to modify the bellhousing to get them to mate up? they have to be at least close. I've heard of people swapping S14 Sr tannies into the S15.. And I've heard of S14 KA trannies being mated to a SR bellhousing..

Also I wonder how the dramatic difference in gearing would effect the acceleration of a 155hp car....

If the KA is such a torquey engine, why would you want a six-speed? &nbsp; The point of a fat torque curve is so you don't need to shift so much (takes time), so if you can stay in the sweet spot with a five, why switch to six?

Is the overdrive gear on the s15 SR smaller? &nbsp;if so it would allow the car to go faster (if you had more power of course)

Cuban - if that was the only reason to use a 6-speed then why would you need a 6-speed in a 250hp Turbo Car.. &nbsp;I think there is plenty of torque there..

Because people say "wow fancy" when they see a car has six speeds. &nbsp; If it's for top speed, or revvy engines, then more gears=better. &nbsp; But most people arent for top speed.
