My '89 base model was around $12k. It had the window sticker in the glovebox, when I bought it in '01.

$15,000.
The advertisement says Under $14,000 but like any other damn commercial, you can clearly see that it says 'Car shown above blahblah...' is $15,000...

my car started out at $14,000, but with options (sun roof, upgraded stereo, a/c, power windows & locks, etc) it ended up around $18,000.
Googling 'inflation calculator' gives you many options. I Used the one at the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which calculates according to the CPI. $14,000 - $18,000 translates to $22,400 - $28,800
