ok my power steering went out, so i thought i'd just change the pump, well i did, and no luck, so since it was a used pump i thought it could be bad, so i put another one one, and... didn't work, so the steering rack was changed, and still no luck, any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated, im fresh out.
-Thanks

what kind of fluid are you using in the pump?

Bingo. PS fluid will kill it all. Use ATF.

Please do some research on this topic, there was a very lengthy, detailed thread about the power steering not long ago, explaining the differences in fluid and associated parts.
What excatly is the problem now, and why do you believe it 'went out'? Is the steering dead feeling, making noises, leaking, etc.?

i have no idea why it went out thats why i asked, no leaks, no noise, not the steering rack, BUT i may know why, what is the spring and piston thing called under the banjo bolt on the p.s. pump? i think its missing? could that be it?:sadwavey:
