Looks hot. But that trim ring around the horn... yuck.
Maybe it'll look better in black.

Looks good I like it with the ring on. Now just get rid of that stock dildo shift knob.

i like it better with the trim ring on and the QR is the gen2. i fit my legs fine under there. i actually tilted the wheel lower for a better position. as for the dildo knob, yah im lookin for a shift knob that i like. i have a razo one sitting in my garage, but i dont like how it looks in the 240...gotta find another knob.

i think its the picture that makes it look big. maybe something funky happened with the camera when i took the pic...it measures 360mm (14.2") in diameter.
and yes, im using a momo hub

Ok good, I was gonna say, the way I'm sitting in my car now, with that set up that you have, the steering wheel would be like 2" from my chest.
HKB hub + NRG QR would be better I guess.

well i actually wanted it to sit closer to me. i was even contemplating on getting a hub adapter from techno toy tuning or somewhere before i got the NRG QR. im pretty tall (6'0"), and usually the steering wheel is too far from me since i need to scoot the seat almost all the way back for legroom. my elbow is bent now in a relaxed position (which is what you want) compared to before where my arms were almost stretched out all the way to reach the steering wheel. to get in the best driving position, this setup works very well for me. next interior upgrade will be a non-reclinable bucket seat and a weighted metal knob in place of the dildo.
with the hkb+nrg combo, you'll probably minus about an inch compared to my setup.

A little off topic.... but those who havent seen the newest FET quick release, you must check it out, instead of the plastic components its CNC'd aluminum. Much better fit and less parts to break. Ill try and shoot a pic of mine when I have time.

just to continue your "off topic" topic, i actually considered the FET too. but it wouldnt sit as close to me because the FET QR is only about an inch thick. i had doubts about the quality of the NRG QR before, but i have read nothing but good reviews about them. After i received mine, i am very happy with it and quality was not an issue. now as to your statement of "Much better fit and less parts to break", there are NO fitment problems with the NRG QR. when the QR is snapped together, there is zero play. you dont even have to line it up, the QR only fits on one way. you just put your wheel on, rotate until it snaps into place. after that, its on there tight like virgin umm.......yah :bigok:

Yeah the reason I got the FET is Im planning on putting in the Nardi Deep Corn wheel, the low offset of the wheel brings it up perfect for me

If the new FET QR holds up, then I'm going to get that along with the HKB hub.
I'd just like the steering wheel to be like .5" closer to me, and I think the HKB + FET QR would do that.
I am still kinda sketchy about the FET though, cause I've read reviews on Ziptied that they pretty much fell apart within like a month or two.
Man, that does look huge! WTF? Do you have short arms, it would be very annoying to have the wheel really close to my body like you said you wanted it. Harder to manuver IMO.

as stated above, im tall...the seat is scooted almost all the way back (like a notch or two before its fully back) and is reclined back somewhat so that i dont hit my head. you need to keep your arms slightly bent and the place where its now is perfect. i had a momo wheel on the momo hub with the QR and the reach was too far. if anything, this setup has made it easier to manuever, but YMMV

i installed my nrg qr ver2 and hkb hub w/ 350mm momo comp wheel just recently. kinda hard to find a comfortable spot since the wheel is so close and i'm only 5'6". overall i like the feel of it, but sometimes i forget how far the turn signal lever is now and i have to take my hand off the wheel to reach it haha.

FET falling a part within a month or 2? THat sucks..I've had my NRG 1st gen for more than a year now, no problems whatsoever.

I had a FET before I got the NRG and it worked great, I've had it for about a year and a half and it still felt the same as the day I bought it before I swapped it for the NRG. I got the NRG because, like Boost Monkey, I wanted the wheel closer to me since I am about 6'2 and I have my seat pretty far back for added leg room. In my opinion they are both great quick release systems and do their jobs very well.

Well that was I guess with the old design.
Supposedly, someone above said there was a new design for the FET?
I did a quick google search just now for reviews on the FET quick release, and Lazy Penguin has just installed his FET QR with a Momo hub back on 2/2/06, so perhaps those that know him could ask him how the new FET QR is?
Seems like the Momo hub + FET QR would place the steering wheel in a PERFECT location for me.
