Alternator question

Ok looks like my alt is taking a dump, and was looking in my FSM about rebuilding it. Has anybody rebuilt theirs? New one is like $160-180, parts should be cheap. Any experiance with this?

It would be easier for you just to buy a used one for like $30.

i paid 90 to rebuild mine. Works great

$65, one year warranty. I send all my alternators out for rebuilds now since people don't buy used ones, they're always worried that since it's dirty it won't work.

Let me add that's what I pay. I sell them for more, but still cheaper than a parts place. PM me for more info, don't want to get this moved due to advertising.

Go with Russ's. Or like stated above... a rebuild isn't that much from a shop.
If you've got the tools/time go for it.. otherwise.. its worth it to just have it done.
