driving my dads truck today i realized that i just hit 400,000 miles. that is pretty damn amazing. It is a 1980 toyota pickup longbed 4x4. it has the original engine and the only things we replaced were the clutch, waterpump, headers, exhaust, and a radiator. Considering we paid 100 bucks for it broken(clutch was bad) that truck is a damn good truck. its driven evryday too, more than 80 miles and it is driven really hard to, revving out in every gear. Anyone looking for a good daily driver, should try and find one of those. there pretty cheap nowadays.

yeah it's not the fastest thing on the road thats for sure. i can get it up to about 60 on the flats but up hill its about 45-50 all the way. And the seat is really uncomfortable and there's no radio. but 400,000 miles and no major break downs proves how good these old engines are. Its kind of funny cause that is usually the vehicle that saves my ass when my car breaks which is every other month or so :)

and im pretty sure the truck they had on top gear was a diesel. it had a"Hilux" emblem on the back which i think means it's diesel.

yeah its weird to have a truck with 400,000 + miles on it be more reliable than my 240 when ive only been able to race it once. I think we should all switch to old toyota trucks:)
