I'm really interested in buying a fastback. What's the difference between the Ka24e and Ka24de. I know the first one is 12v sohc, and the second is 16v dohc. But aren't they the same Horsepower? If I'm going to buy one soon, which one would you suggest, especially if i plan on more mods in the future? The 91-94 are the Dohc right? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

9524tee is correct. The 89 and 90 (KA24E) are SOHC and are rated at 140HP. The 91+ (KA24DE) are DOHC and are 155HP. It all depends on the body style you like and what you plan to do with the car, though. The 91 has the most aggressive cams, if that makes a difference :-)
