I just got my car, last week. The engine was taken out a long time ago, and it was jsut sitting there, collecting dust and cob webs. I charged the battery, and put the keys in the on position. Here is what happened:

1. my windshield wipers (fornt and back) will not turn off. I check the knob/buttom. and nothing happened. I pulled it the fuses to stop it but, I can't figure why they wouldn't turn off.

2. I hit the button to flip the lights up, and the driver's side went up, but then would not go down. the passenger's side flipped up and went down and kept repeating this. WHen I turned the lights on, it stopped.

Thats all the problems I know of so far. Got any ideas?

EDIT: Does anyone make a manual for the 240? Haynes or Helms?

Chiltons makes a decent manual; missing a bunch of info though. I'm trying to get my hands on an FSM but they're expensive.

Last time i had an electrical problem that profound I took it to nissan. They won't charge too much for a inspection; and you could spend a year trying to find the source.

check your battery, and your main ground..  bad grounding causes ALL sorts of weird problems.

Verify all the relays, and fuses under the hood look good too.  not sure what else it could be...

sykikchimp: I have checked most of the fuses, but not the relays or the ground.  I will do that next.

What about this:

would that have everything I need? or maybe this:
