Just Purchased 240 Love it

I just purchased a 97 240 and I love it.  My only problem is the performance issue which I plan to deal with asap.  I am definately going the turbo route and would like to know if there are any kits you would recommend over an other.  My last car was a supercharged Mustang so the performance difference is gigantic.  However the 240 is lighter and looks as if it could eat up almost anything on the road.  That's my problem I want the power to back up those looks.  I am guessing that right around 275-300 horses should get this thing faster than my mustang.  I am not planning on the SR swap because I have a very intelligent tuner buddy who thinkd that I could pull more out of the stock powertrain with as much as it costs for the swap.  Any other mods which would be a smart move with the turbo any dyno info would be a great help.
