I read somewhere that Diesel turbo's have REALLY big exhaust housings... maybe I'm thinking of turbo's off diesel tractors?
Either way, if you can get the specs off the turbo and post them, we can tell you if it'll work

look on the compresser side (aluminum) and see what the housing air ratio is (usaly right on the side if a garret turbo) then look at the turbine side (probaly rusty looking iron) look for a exhaust housing ratio this will get you in the ball park to see if your turbo will at least be even close to working. if it is to big you will scre up the turbo cause it will move more air than your engine can handle and then come the dreded compressor surge there will probaly be know way to just look at the wheels to see what they are. but im guessing that this will be laggy as hell and probaly not be worth the work of trying to use it. exhaust housing probaly has a ration way to high for a small engine but who knows may work pretty good but get some spec usally on the turbo parts some where and ill give some formulas if you'd like to help ya find out if it is ok
thats my 2 cents
