how the hell does that work? never heard of such a thing. did you notice a difference with it on?

The valve is suppose to open and close as more exhaust gas is going through - think of the way the muffling system on the 350z works (only one muffler at low/idle, both @ hi-rev - hence why it's usually quieter at low speeds)...

thanks for the info post, I dont know about performance, i havent brought my car to a dyno. I have a test pipe already. The thing rattles if you're driving and you let go of the clutch too early or whatever. But thats due to the fact that my exhaust is held by only the 2 hangers on the muffler =\

plus, i need a koyo and some fans.. really bad =[

It has a flapper valve or something similar to that design that stays close at low RPMs and opens up at high RPMs. Helps build backpressure at low RPMs and opens up for free flow at high RPMs.

Would this work well for turbo applications? ...Actually, why the hell would you need backpressure for turbos? God, I'm a n00b.
