Your serious? Have you ever been to socal? In SoCal traffic? Have you ever heard of an AIRBAG killing a Full grown adult??? California SAFETY LAWS stating that children MUST be restrained in a carseat (rearfacing for the weight/height/age of her child), In the US kids 4'9" and under have to be in some sort of car seat/booster seat. Not to mention the fact that the kid could be projectiled through the window of the car, now endangering other drivers is an issue too....How can she concentrate on driving that big ass thing (wich *most*women can not drive w/out distractions), while she has a kid in her lap, and her full attention is not focused on driving.... I know I would be pissed if she rear-ended me and I knew she had her kid on her lap and it could have been prevented.
Corner store or not, 99% of all accidents occur within 5 miles of home. If that airbag went off (wich is an extremly low speed & impact to set one off) would break that little babies neck and kill it, if not suffocate it with its dumbass mom was passed out and holding it's head into it.
You must not have kids or been around them to understand the dangers that she has placed her infant in. My daughter does not even sit in our laps in the pass. side of our car while in movment....even here in japan. It is just flat out STUPIDITY on the parents behalf. Just like leaving your infant in the car in the middle of summer. DUMB.

You must not have kids...and even if she was going on 20 what do you think would happen if someone hit her? There aren't too many angles that that suv could be hit that would keep that child from being seriously hurt or killed. Besides, when I'm on the road I'm usually more concerned that other drivers are going to do something stupid,and they usually do, so I wouldn't have my kid in the front seat period!

I will now and forever say that I think people should have to take tests and hold permits in order to have kids. It's the most important job in the world, but not enough people take it seriously.

For instance, kids are smarter than 99% of people give them credit for. My wife is a preschool consultant for university and private programs, and also teaches sign language to infants who can't yet communicate otherwise (you'd trip out to see a 9-month old baby "ask" for milk). Most people, however, treat them like they are dress-up dolls and have kids just because all of their friends have them. They also don't pay much attention to them until they're about 2-3 years old, because that's when they're fun to play with.

Yes, I'm pessimistic about parents, and this whole Britney thing isn't surprising at all since she seems to have a typical attitude about parenting: it's cute.
