i got two emails claiming to be from chase, then one from paypal and one from ebay, all within 2 days of each other.

ugh don't even get me started on that shit. i just cleared out almost 9000 messages

no, this is my personal email. i've had that address for 10 years. since way before hotmail was bought by microsoft. then suddenly i get all these phishing attempts. someone probably sold my address recently or something gay like that

Thats why I got 3 email addys. 2 for crap and one legit shiet that i use for my important stuff. Another rule is even if i get mail from my bank or wut not, i dont click on the links...i always open another window and manually type the site and log in.

I've never received one bit of unfiltered spam on an e-mail addy that I've had for 10 years, and tonight I got this:

"Dear Beloved,
I got your email address through search in the Internet.
I hope in the name of ALLAH that I have the right person who will
assist me.
I want to transfer money for investment into your country as such I
would like to make contact with people like you residing in that
country for assistance Note,the funds are already with a security
company which also has branches in Europe and America for safe
keeping. If you are willing to assist me.

You will help me collect the funds from the Security Company as I
cannot travel out from iraq at the moment because of certain
conditions which I will explain to you if we work together(my
travelling documents are not yet complete). The fall of Saddam
Hussein has brought destruction / Hell to our great country and
everything is practically difficult now and opportuinities are
closing up,the new government is trying to frustrate our businesses.

Please if you accept this offer of assistance you are required to
give me your Name, age, occupation, address also enclosing your
telephone fax numbers.

What I require from you are as follows:

1. You should make arrangement with the Security Company to secure
the funds on my behalf and open a Bank account in your country for me
with the credentials i will give you.

2. You will be entitled to 30% of the total sum involved for your

as common as that scam is, it's never been tried on me. i only get the ones from financial institutions that say there was some security breach so i better log in to make sure everything is ok. then they provide a link to the fake login page to get your user name and password.

of course it never works though. it's pretty obvious with addresses like www.chase.com.accountservices.tv/login

Once they have a hold of your account you can count on receiveing ~20-30 junk mails of that type per day. Sucks donkey balls.
