Today i noticed my drain plug was leaking a bit and went to see what was wrong with it and half of the plug came out right when i touched it! so now im on a desperate search for an replacement drain plug and my luck....i cant find one anywhere, i found an "oem" plug that looks the same a little, but to small. If anyone has one laying around or knows of where i can get one or what i could use to replacement please let me know asap! thanks

how about putting the white plumbing tape? did anything happen to the plug to get in that condition?

try searching cuz i made a post about this a while back. got to ur local autoshop and search the oem drain plugs they have for nissans. I found one from a maxima or sentra and it was pretty big and it fit. I just had to shave the sides down but it works. The koyo drain plug is useless cuz its hella small and breaks easily

When mine broke I replaced it with another stock drain plug.

just curious... what part of the drain plug did you shave? if you shaved the actual threaded part how did you do it? thanks for the quick replies.

""did anything happen to the plug to get in that condition?"" im guesing the heat from the radiator just cracked the piece in half.

Koyo drain plug = the sux0rs

I think everybody should figure out a real replacement. I've seen EVERYBODY I know that owns a koyo have their plug fail.

My Koyo drain plug went bad too. Right before an event, so I missed the event (but at least that was better than it going out during the event!).

Anyways, I tried drilling out the plastic piece to remove it but had trouble getting it out. So I just took it to a local radiator shop and they put in a nice brass stopcock for me. Works like a charm.

Good luck.

brass or steel pipe plugs would be a better bet... just find out the right thread pitch and bolt size..

Good point. The one I got was brass, not copper. I'll fix my post...
