he wanted me to post up and ask: what should he to to make the best of this situation?

Pay the fine? Admit that he is guilty? Never drift on the street again? Take it to the track? Lawyer. Take the driver's ed again if suggested by popos?

Tell hime to build a time machine, go back in time, and stop himself from drifting.
Then while you are back there, get hella hookers.

I thought reckless driving was a felony? good chance i have no idea wtf im talking about though
Look for a lawyer if he thinks theres any part of his story that could be used to reduce the sentence i guess
otherwise, just be ready to pay everything off..

whats the actual VC for the violation. I'm trying to find out what the penalities are. So far it doesnt look good, but the descriptions for 2800.2 and 2800.3 seem more geared towards eluding the police. If it either one of those its not good. Theres fines on not less than 1,000, but not more than 10,000, and jail or prison time.

what city was it in exactly? i got a 2pt street racing ticket on decoto and fremont blvd that was complete bs. but my "lawyer" could only get it reduced to 1 pt. bunch of horseshit.
cliffs notes - if it was issued in fremont, hes fucked. otherwise, maybe get a lawyer, but make sure other people have used them to for the same thing.

Me personally from going to jail many times i have realized it doesent matter how you act. One time i hella owned the cop, then another time i was chill and it made no difference. Either way the only solution here is to plea his case, and never admit gilt. 44% of recless tickets result in a felony. and he will plea his best to get out of this since he was just pulling out of his apartment complex and wasnt even drifting.

sounds like it may work out..get the lawyer that specialises in this type of stuff and like you said don't admit anything...
