speedo problem

my speedo stop working 2 weeks ago.i dont really care how fast im going but its like really jumpy when not at full throttle.can anyone help?

can u tell us what year your car is? s13 s14? hud analog? more info please then people can help

sorry its an 89 s13  and as for the hud analog i have no idea what that is

i have the same problem with my 93 s13... Looks like its kinda normal for nissan hud... i asked the dealer about that and they dont know how to repair it...

the hud stands for heads up display. its the digital speedometer. i have answered how to test out the circuit to pinpoint the problem look under the faq /archive on here i have the wiring diagram on there.

i fixed mine and i also work at nissan so if they told u they dont know how to fix it they are b.s'ing u.

when i had my 1992 S13 the speedo wire became loose and it would jump at times or completely die.  Checking both ends of the speedo sensor helped a lot (at the dash and at the tranny).
