fuel gauge problem

ok i had a walbro 255lph fuel pump installed on my old ka. read fine for about 2 months. Then i parked my 240sx for a sr swap

Now i put the s14 sr20det into my car, now my fuel gauge reads way past FULL. My tank is not full. I had maybe 2 gallons of gas when i parked the car.
and the pump maybe runs for like 1-2 seconds
way less than any walbro i've heard.

btw i do not have the relays by the ecu plugged in right now.

maybe the little plastic piece that floats ontop of the fuel to measure the fuel lever is somehow stuck?

but i made sure it did not get stuck on anything. And it worked fine before i swapped in a sr
