![]() Hi everybody,
I am just finishing my swap and I'm stumped. Can't find anybody else with the same problem as I do, any help would be much appreciated. I have a 1990 s13 that I bought with a ka24E with a massive rod knock. My brother gave me a RUNNING 1993 ka24de since he was going SR20det. here is some info... -1990 s13 body -1993 ka24de engine and transmission -original 1993 ka24de ECU -upper harness is from a ka24de (unkown year) -lower harness is from the original 1990 ka24e -the 5th position switch doesn't have a corresponding plug on trans -disconnected the PAIR valve and blocked off appropriate vac lines under throttle body -getting spark in every cylinder -getting fuel, I can see/smell it on the spark plugs -the engine was running well before it was taken out -there are several ground wires that the ka24de body has that my 1990 body does not -dremelled my grounds, nice and clean -I can smell gas in my exhaust pipe and standing over my engine after cranking it -since the car had been sitting around for around a year, I drained the 8 gallons of gas in the car and put in 3 gallons of fresh 95 octane gasoline Thank you for reading, -Andrew |

I saw it but I don't have a connector for the crank sensor on my harness, which is what I got out of your thread. Did you happen to get anywhere with yours?
My engine was cranking with a random blip of combustion here and there, but now its not even doing that, just cranking... |

I've been playing with the distributor and I've gotten it to the point where I am confident that it is on the right timing.
The engine was running when it was taken out, so I think the problem might be the harness or the ecu |

solved!
The issue ended up just being that the fuel lines were switched. I thought that they were correct because a few people that own 240's said they looked fine. I had to look at quite a few pictures to get convinced otherwise, but now I know! |

Haha well that was simple enough. Have fun with the car man.
Glad to see you posted your solution for others who may be searching.
