Rock all the way. Anything halfway hard or w/ a decent guitar. The Cult made some great driving music....

i too am a rap fan, but like the person a few posts ago, im also not into the "bling-bling" or5 "glamour" rap stuff. old pac, biggie, or wu are great for just cruising, but lately ive found nothing gets me more amped when floating around than techno and house. add in a lil reggea, some trance, lil billy joel(old stuff) and ill be set for hours.

It all depends on my mood and how I am driving. For cruisin' it's all rock and punk, nothin beats a little Sublime when your cruising downtown. If I am in a hurry, it's techno or even better, my Initial D mix which will get me a ticket soon, I can't drive even close to the speed limit with that on. When I am driving seriously, gotta hear the engine so the music goes off, plus I can't concentrate as well with music on.
By the way, there's a good reason why Country is not included in the list. j/k <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Classical music is good too, especially for long trips.
