They basically have no idea of how to run a business. They've sent clips to the wrong countries and they're now saying that our "free shipping" isn't going to be free anymore . Also, they will make you wait for over a year.

Trust me on this one, it really is worth it to buy from a place in the US. I think Enjuku racing actually sells clips, they just don't advertise, but I could be wrong.

Hi, sorry I haven’t gotten in touch with any of you for a while. I just left a message with another lawyer who I’ve been referred to. Apparently the original lawyer decided not to return my calls. At any rate, I have not forgotten about this and actually just became a bit more infuriated by the bill I’ve received from Charles Schayer CO. for shipping.

I’m hoping to get a call back sometime soon from the new lawyer, and I will let you know what happens.

Regards,

Brian

P.S.

Anyone who has not recieved the email I just sent out, and would like to be on the distrobution list, please send an email to [email protected] and request to be added.

Aparently there are already about 47 other people who are pretty annoyed with them and I'm going to be getting in touch with them soon. Please send me an email if you have been burned by them. Make the subject line: "flashoptions class action" if at all possible because I'll be filtering it into a seperate email box.

Let's take these bastards down!

well heres my first post-i ordered on march 6, 2003 and to date have still recieved nothing- since i have ordered the excuses have ranged from war to customs problems-then a few months ago i recieved a call from them telling me that my clip would be on the next container and that i can't get a clip because of epa restrictions bnut i would only get a motor set, but to help offset the difference they would sent a bunch of crap-ecm suspension etc-i told them that i would need the difference in money back-of course that was out of the question-all of this while they could not even get my name right-all of my information-except for my money transfer was incorrect-now my engine is sitting on a dock in LA and i still can't get it because they basically shipped it illegaly- it was put onto a container without being listed on the bol or the manifest-mine was the only one-now it is sitting in a store yard and collecting storage fees that fo is apparently trying to get me to pay for-i just heard about this yesterday-so until they resolve the bol and manifest problems it continues to sit and collect charges

just my little flashoptions sob story

Just an update: I haven't had much luck with lawyers so far. The last lawyer I talked to said that he would not take the case on a contingency basis and it would be too much money for me to pay him by the hour. I'm going to go back and talk to another lawyer that happens to know my family and see if she has any ideas about it. I'll keep everyone posted.

Man I would be behind you but i haven't bought a clip from them.... . I say try to get a hold of them more and try to work something out, cause it seems to be a lot of hassle for you, and this case would be pretty big and costly. My 2-cents

Yeah, they've basically stopped responding to me. I've been thinking a lot about whether it's worth it or not, but I'm not a lawyer so I can't say. I think whenever I meet with the lawyer I spoke of earlier it will decide a lot.

Yeh, I am one of the dumb asses that got conned into FlashOptions also. I knew I should have paid with my credit card, but at the time I paid for my shit FlashOptions said some crap like- if you use credit cards there is a 200.00 extra processing fee. You guys probably saw my story already too. I spoke with a lwyer also and what they said was that I could actually file a lawsuit against them. Since FlashOptions was selling to the US they must follow US laws on sales also. I want to more edvidence to prove that these fuckers were fucking a lot of people over. Thanks for all the advices and notes. Don't worry they are going to get thiers. What comes around goes around. Make sure you guys keep all the docs you guys got from FuckOptions for evidence. I hope this goes well for all of us. Thanks for all the responses. Keep it up. Peace

That's the last thing we need to have happen. If this is going to go through we need to keep on the up and up. No bullshit ways of trying to get them back. If we do something wrong, they'll be able to use that in court and there goes our suit.

By the way, HondaX, I'd really like to get in touch with you about this. If you've gotten good responses from lawyers I want to hear what they said, because I haven't had much luck... Anyway, my AIM SN is Spectre_240sx. Please get in touch with me if I haven't gotten in touch with you first.

If you got ripped off by FlashOptions file the complait to this site: http://www.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp This site is run by the FBI. I think the more people that file about FlashOptions, the more they might want to pursue the case. Please file your complait here and tell anybody you know that got ripped off by FlashOptions to file too. If I can't get my money back at least fucking close this shit comapny so it can't rip anybody else off. Thank you

For Class actions, all I can say is to look at the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure 28 and that'll tell you the requirements for filing a class action lawsuit as long as there is personal jurisdiction as well as subject matter jurisdiction over the defendant. It's not easy to file a class action suit, and the payoff to the clients themselves are usually minimal. The lawyers make the most money out of the suit.

My story

This is my first post also...
I ordered a Mitsu clip from them late august.
I received the usual range of excuses for the delay : epa, sent the wrong way, christmas time etc.
Now every time I e-mail them they tell me that they will verify and I get no feedback.
I doubt I will receive something, but i'm still trying to get them to move.
I tell you one thing is sure if we plan an action to shut them down, now we'll be assured to receive nothing.

Hi, I sent Flash Options over 10K worth of wire transfers and Western Unions transfers for various customers who I sold Sr20DET's to. That was the biggest mistake of my life. I also, thought they were credible after hearing ONE good story about them (Brent). A few of the customers have received their engines, with me having to foot the $700-1000 customs/taxes/shipping bill. And some have not received motors, those I've had to refund OUT OF MY OWN pocket. I am so infuriated with them. They never give me accurate answers to my questions. I know I made a dumb decision in dealing with them, but they should have to pay in some serious way. I email them every single day, just to annoy them into doing something about getting me my SR20DET motor or money back. (the motor I am talking about, I have essentially bought for myself, by refunding a customer back $2400).

FO Is my greatest Enemy Right now.

Well I guess I have been screwed like so many others.
After the phone call Gavin did not gave any news, and now he is not answering any of my e-mails.

I wish I could prevent any other customer from buying clips from them, cause FO scam will just keep going on with Gavin making tons of money over honest people.

This is really frustrating...

It wouldn't surprise me if you could take a class action against them even if they are in Malaysia. When I went to university (I'm in australia) We learnt about a court case in the US where a finance company sued a finance school in Australia for having a similar name. The business in the US won the case because the Australian finance school had a web site, and seeing as the web site was available in the US the judge passed the court case saying that they were taking business away from the US company (even though it was an educational institution).

So in short the school had to close down as it couldn't afford to operate after the court case which was held in the states and the US business kept on going. I think you could quite easily take the business to court in the states cause the site is available there and you could probably win it if you've got the cash to fund the court procedings.

I too have been screwed by Flash Options. So count me in on any lawsuit that comes about. I've been waiting since October 03, ... I wish I had seen some bad stories before I ordered!

anyone feel like taking a trip to Malaysia, ... or wherever these guys are really operating out of?? I'm serious.

So if you're thinking of ordering from them, please DON'T!!

Get 'em guys! It would be so tempting to go there with a MOB of people who have been ripped off.. and take matters into one's own hands. But, you have to remember.. Malaysia isn't America. You would most likely be shot if you went and started trouble there. Those guys don't play around... I think once the gov. is involved in Malaysia... something will come of this mess
