Ford was really stupid with the Focus (yes, they still make them). The rest of the world got a brand new focus, we got new headlights on the old car. Now the focus is irrelevant in the US because they've been selling the same damn car for what, 7 years now? Who wants to buy the same car 8 million other people already have. Plus, they need to give us the hot versions they sell in europe. The SVT went in the right direction, but it wasn't enough.

I read recently that the b-spec did much better here than Subaru expected, and now will become a regular production model (instead of the 500 unit limited run it originally was). I would think that this improves our chance of getting an STI version considerably.

It's the same platform as the previous model, just exterior, powertrain and interior differences....similar process to that of the 'fox' platform used on the Mustang that lasted a long time.

The one they sell overseas shares the same platform with the Mazda 3 and Volvo S40. I think its a much better car then what is coming out in the states...and has much better variants.

That is true, but still techinally a "new generation".

but it's still warmed over leftovers compared to the freshness the rest of the world (even frickin china) is getting. plus, it looks like a design saturn threw away 5 years ago. ugh. Is ford trying to kill itself? why haven't they put their hybrid powertrain in any other cars? idiots.

To heck with Hybrid. In Europe they offer the Focus with a turbo diesel. I would kill for that.

Suzuki is making a HUGE mistake if they don't sell the sx4 WRC version in the states. A cheap lightweight turbo AWD hatch. Fuck it makes too much sense and that's why it won't happen. suzuki

Probably cost...it might cost too much that people are willing to pay for a Suzuki.

Car wise, Suzuki is a decent brand? Excuse the ignorance, but I really don't know. I know they have good bikes, but I dont have any experience/know anyone with a Suzuki vehicle.

I have never owned a suzuki car or bike but like most japanese things, I would think suzuki is pretty good quality.

The suzuki sports division is no joke that is for sure. The Suzuki Grand Vitara hillclimb machine, with the 940 horsepower twin-turbo V6 engine is insane.

Oh and Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima is the man!!!
