s14 For Sale: 1995 240SX w/ 400+ hp KA-T

Hey guys,

I've been a 240 owner for almost 12 years and I've loved every minute of it, but the time has finally come... My project car is up for sale. Location is Summerland, BC, Canada. There's a full write-up on Kijiji with all the information you'll want to know, so have a gander:

http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/p...ationFlag=true

I know that there are plenty of S-chassis enthusiasts on this forum, so I wanted to make sure that I posted this link here for all of you to see. I do have some flexibility on the asking price, but I will not consider low-ball offers. Truthfully, I'm more concerned with making sure this car goes to a deserving owner. I put my blood, sweat, and tears (and about $70k) into building this car, so I'd like for it to end up with someone that shares my passion for turbo'd 240's. It really breaks my heart to have to sell her, but it's the right thing to do. If you guys have any questions, please contact me through Kijiji.

Cheers!

Chad

Obviously, I wouldn't even try to sell it if I've put 70K into it. Just my opinion.

I think you're underestimating the amount of work that has gone into this car. I did a tally of all my old parts and labour invoices, plus the original cost of the car, and the grand total is $64,400 CAD (so ya, I was off by a bit). Unfortunately about $10k of that was wasted on a failed rebuild attempt by an unnamed machine shop, so call it $55k.

Numbers aside, this car is a true sleeper and you would never know the extent of the work done just by looking at it from the outside.

Custom car rule of thumb:
The money you invest in a build is almost always less than you get when selling

In my experience (yes I have an actual $45K S chassis) you can usually pull about one third of build costs, and that is if you can find the right buyer.
