I have fixed my starter problem now it cranks over but the ground wire gets hot and smokes can anyone tell me what to do please!!!??

sounds to me like its shorting out.

^This. Check your wires or did you do anything to your car that we should know about, maybe pressure wash engine?

make sure the cable that has the power to the alternator is not touching thr body... it should have like a plastic thing to protect it from that..

It still has the plastic protecting it I am using the ka lower harness a the ground goes into a t one wire going to the harness the other going to the starter and another going to the altenator but the one going to the starter is frayed a little would that cause it and I didn't pressure wash it

You put the positive as a ground on the alternator. No wire from the starter is a ground.

Ok so do you know where that wire goes and can I just ground the altenator to the strut tower
