Seibon BA vs. TA
Anyone know the difference between the Seibon TA-Style and BA-Style Carbon Fiber Hoods for a S14 Kouki??

Hey, just in case anyone else had this same question, I contacted Seibon ans thier exact words were "The TA and BA for the S14 are exactly the same, i'm not sure why we are still selling either under different names"
So, Seibon TA = Seibon BA

Kognition doesn't make it - they're saying you should have him custom make that design. Which he won't, because you can't afford to pay him to do that.
Garage-S's website is a little wonky right now. Contact C2AutoSPL, which is where I got mine. :: C2 AUTO HOMEPAGE :: |

Got a Seibon hood and I must say it is the best CF quality I have seen so far.
Judge for yourself.

The hood is on the car and has a perfect fit and it is carbon. I easily lift it with tips of thumb and second finger.

It's not full carbon.. It's fiberglass with a 1 layer of carbon on top... That's how almost all carbon fiber hoods and products on the market today are made... If you want some real lightweight full cf stuff you might as well just make it yourself.. You'll save a shit ton of money too...
Doing it yourself, a full cf hood would probably cost like 200-300 + the satisfaction of doing it yourself and choice of some crazy stylish cf weaves.. A tri-axial or satin weave would look pretty unique.. Once I acquire a good condition stock hood, I make a DIY on how to make your own from start to finish... |

Jolly nice welcomming on this site. It used to be a very fine attitude here once. What happened?
I feel sorry for the ones having bad hoods with bad fitmnent but that doesn't make my hood worse just because of your experience with your hood. I am happy with how well mine fit even before the fenders, front and other parts have been adjusted and fastened. Good you are so keen on marking up details with red circles, now I will not forget to finish the not yet fixed parts like the wiper arms. Please feel free to red circle the masking tape holding up the front on the side fenders as well. Here is a picture. Play on

Garage-S's website is a little wonky right now.
Contact C2AutoSPL, which is where I got mine. Both websites are not user friendly, but can u post pics of your hood or ask someone who purchased a hood from them to post it! From the supplier, to the vender, to u! A lot can go wrong! |

But really, seems you've got things under wraps.
Trying to be constructive is hard, but i'll try. The bumper is pretty fail. Doesn't match the body style and lines of the car at all. it reminds me of a tiburon, which is pretty fail itself. The vents serve no purpose, cover em. The headlight setup doesn't look pretty. IMHO, encased lights, AB-FLUG, are the only win. high-end output, and balling as shit. For lighting with that setup, check clearcorners.com Nice plywood. |

OT (since this thread originaly is about hoods). I stop posting here after this final post.
The light houses sit like this when they are installed The bumper was installed in the end of last millenium and is subject to be changed but will stay on for a while. Coz delivery time (works9). The vents do work to let out the air stream in the wheel arcs at high speed. Thanks for your input. |

The bumper... we'll be waiting for the new stuff. Stock looks better lol. And the air stream in the wheel arcs? The ventilation is highly admissable. I take it you're not running fender liner either. or any kind of canard/diffuser. JGTC speeds, yea, MAYBE the vents help. but keeping in mind they travel at shit-exploding speeds at a constant, it makes sense. Street car/track car, you won't see any difference. And they just look ImportTuner as hell. Didn't look good then, doesn't look good now. Constructive! |

just stop talking (posting), they wont stop.
i think you would have gotten the hint when they red circled the plywood... which i loled in the library from and got a pissy glance from ppl. and i think the "Vader" bumper doesnt have quite the amount of enginereing and study as race cars... |
