sense i had more time on my hand i also started stripping unneeded wiring, and ran some conduit to making it look more organized

I just received my top mount turbo manifold.the reason i had to go top mount was with the stock SR bottom turbo mount was to bulky and when test fitting the motor the stock turbo set up hit the steering rack. So going to top mount avoids the steering rack to make the car steerable. also i had a godspeed wast gate laying around so i installed that with a 11 pound spring to start with.

this is all i have for now ... but im currently working on the the engine and tranny mounts so i should have those done very soon.
so stay tuned!

what am i looking at? a mangled SR20 with 35k miles? Every motor from Japan is under 60k miles....or every motor sold is magically 45k miles..just FYI.

Convertible SR20 BMW from Florida...I don't think there's anything Florida hasn't tried to do now.

SR Update

even though im getting crap for this build im still going to update ok so i just finished, building the engine/tranny mounts and just got done painting them. here is a picture of them.

and now for the test fit of the motor!!! it actually fits fairly well like its suppose to be in there so everything is running smooth exempt a few minor problems.

so the engine is in now , but i have to modify the engine mounts because it sits about a half an inch to high in the bay and on the driver side mount is rubbing against the steering rack.

OP, I like where this is going, are you going to try and retain factory instrument cluster or using the nissan one?
im going to be running the stock instrument panel if the wiring allows me to do so. when i get to the wiring i will let you know

yea ive talked to the people that have done RB and 2j swaps and they say the motor really weighs down the front of the car throwing off the balance. so i went with sr for its reliability, abundance of cheap parts, and very popular so you can go any where to get tech help with them. im glad your enjoying the build stay tuned!

I had 50 thousand KM's on mine. When they sell SR's to you lad's in the states are they converting the mileage to Miles ? you might be buying motors with the true mileage which is in Kilometer's.

haha, zilvia is always a treat...

Like the build, but you should have checked the rules first, kinda surprised they didn't lock it...

You're SUPPOSED to have the build already done and THEN post it.

yeah, but we all know that 90% of the builds that are currently getting bumped on zilvia, are builds in progress...such as...mine, Broadfield, garagelu, ninocrack and thats just to name a few on page one and two.

With the drift tax fucking up the prices of 240's so much, I'm honestly surprised we don't see more people running to E36's to drift. These cars are damn cheap now.

Didn't there used to be a E36 in D1 with a SR?
