My s13 makes a coarse noise like a grinding stone wheel in reverse and while the car is moving forward. its deffinately coming from the rear of the car

i thought it was a wheel bearing but after fixing them it still makes the sounds, could it be possible my diff has no fluid?
or even a bad bearing in a cv axle?i mean what else could it possibly be

Carrier bearing, axle/boot perhaps

so you dont think its the differential at all?

Im thinking it might be a carrier bearing now since the sound is quite loud and clear, i think a diff would make a more muffled sound
