Yashio factory okachan gauge

Recently picked up one of the consult port style okachan gauges and running into a few issues. If anyone has any insight that would be awesome!

It plugs into my consult port no problem, powers up with the car, I was able to select the mode for water temp, but now it just reads "1" on the gauge. Flickers really quick every few seconds but doesn't change. Wiring for consult was never messed with and I'm assuming it's fine considering it powers up and appears to work? Car was also started and up to operating temp, and still no changes.

Just confused why my gauge only reads "1" now, and doesn't go up with temp. none of the wiring for the consult port was messed with, however I have a different wiring harness/ecu for my swap. But was told the consult port works with the swap harness
