KA24e Wiring Harness, Repair or Replace??
Would you guys replace or fix a harness that has been cut in half. Its cut where the harness sneaks up behind the radator in the very front of the engine bay. Its the thicker part of the wiring harness is that has maybe like 20-30 wires in it that were all cut. Also the a few wires for the front pass head lamp were cut. Should i solder them back up or is that just to many wiries. Ive seen people solder a few broken wires but this is connecting like the whole harness back together. Should i toss this harness and get a new one. Also side note where can i get a harness? Is the any option other then used. i no Frsport sells the lower harness for a ka24e but there out of stock and my lower harness is fine.

i had a similiar problem a few months back, my clutch fan severed my harness due to no fan shroud. Indeed, the sohc harness is discontinued from nissan but even if it was still available, it was over $700. So the easiest solution, is to find a harness at the junkyard or buy one from someone who did a swap or parting out. I was in a hurry and unable to source a used one, so i towed my car to jordan innovations for rewiring/salvaging my existing harness. If you have the money and really want a new harness, then jeff can make you a new one with mil spec materials for $500. good luck.

i have a ka24E engine harness for sale. it was been cut at the ECU plug. may be of use to you, make me an offer. other then that, sounds like it is an easy fix just going to be time consuming.

same case here. i had no choice but to bring my car to the mechanic and they have said that after referring to this site: about.com, they have decided to replace my harness. it was 2 years old already so i think it deserves to rest too. lol.
