Hi, currently I found out one of my 92 240sx Driver Rear caliper stuck retract after brake pedal release sometime. i don't have $$$ for upgrade now, just wondering what other cars' Driver Rear caliper is interchangeable with the it because junk yard has a few 240sx, just in case those are bad too. Thank you so much for help.

hey i got 180sx calipers and rotors for sale lmk if u want them
they are bigger then 240sx calipers

No they are not. He is asking about rear, not front.

To the OP - any 89-94 240SX rear caliper is a direct replacement.

ive had 2 s13 and both one side of the rears never work with ebrake.

my ebrake is working, sometimes it stuck after i release the brake pedal. I will check out the junk yard for 89-94 240SX. thanks guys

..Are you saying your calipers are frozen? If so why not rebuild (thats if you have some sort of access to an air compressor), way more inexpensive than replacing them.

thanks for the input 95kouki, and iluvpadas4. thanks for reminding me to rebuild it, i check the price is aound $25, but not including the piston, i remember the piston is rust. can i just sand it with sand paper? thanks guys

Are you checking the rebuild kit prices at the dealership? You should be able to get one with everything you need for one caliper for between 5-7 dollars at Advanced Autoparts or NAPA. I don't recommend sanding the piston though cuz that can really ruin it although I know people who've done it successfully. I'd just replace the piston if it's really rusted bad. But if you have just a few rusty bulges here and there then soak it with brake cleaner and pick it off carefully with a dental pick, making sure not to scratch the piston too much. I did a write up specifically for rebuilding OEM S13 calipers. PM me and I can send it to you.

i check the advance autoparts website, there are 2 of them, one is for $5, Part Number: D352027, and that comes with seal. Another one is $25, Part Number: 0717835, and it comes with more stuffs inside. You think i can just get the $5 one is fine? Thanks iluvpandas4.

Yea you only need the dust boot and bore seal which come in the $5 kit. The other stuff are the caliper bolt and pins, bushings, etc. $5 one is the same exact one I used to rebuild my calipers and works like I got new calipers. Let me know if you need get stuck.

Hence the notation to use 89-94s only. Same chassis.

so, i did the rebuild on both side, the Left side piston is stuck, i can't turn the wheel after i rebuild, right side is good, so i think i need to go to the junkyard and grab another driver rear caliper and rebuild it.

i would go to autozone and get some remanufactured calipers. after you turn in your cores they arent that expensive, then you have practically brand new rear brakes.

thats what i did anyway.

If your cheap just get a shit ton of grease and grease all the moving parts, that what i did and it worked great after that IMO
