So basically I'm trying to decide whether to go with GKtech or PBM rear drop knuckles on my S14. I've read that huge 240 page thread on S chassis suspension, but I'm not going to go through each page and see if someone answered my question.

Just want some opinions on which is best for my application. Car is super low and staying that way, not necessarily needing dual calipers at the moment so that isn't a huge concern of mine as I'll be running stock brakes for a bit until i do dual Z32 rears. PBM is 25mm drop and GKtech is 45mm but I feel like GKtech is kind of an overkill for me personally. Anyway let me know what you guys think if any of you have experience with these parts.

I think GKtech is overkill for you.

I have the PBM's and they are great. I highly recommend them. I modified my fronts for CTS-V 6 pots, and im running dual z32's in the rear. the setup is really nice.

How low is your car? I'm tucking 18's on my S14 and my control arms are millimeters from my chassis/frame so every time I hit a big enough thump they'll hit the frame. Will PBM's 25mm drop be good enough to get my arms enough clearance?

If you haven't yet, you may want to look into getting subframe risers and then notching the pinch weld so your RUCA does not hit. Bert (wavybert) had issues with being low in the rear and axles breaking all the time and he opted for z33 axles after he installed PBM risers, RLCA and rear knuckle (first gen).

In addition, here's the thread about notching the pinch weld in the rear.

Yeah I have been emailing someone at PBM for awhile and he said to pair to pair the drop knuckles with the risers and to not be afraid to hammer the pinch weld. I'm most concerned about getting the arms away from frame and making them not as stressed.

I think I'm gonna try the drop knuckles first and obviously do the risers, but a little but down the road. Is PBM's 25mm drop enough for what I need?

I personally don't own a set so I can't tell you, but I plan on getting PBM's rear setup in the future.

I have the PBM v2's and they are great. Also running PBM dual z32 calipers.

Yeah I ended up buying the PBM ones over the weekend. A huge difference maker is that they're in the US and answer emails fairly quickly.
