i dont like federals for my daily wheels cuz they run bigger than normal for the sizes i use (225/40/18 and 255/35/18) and i HATE tall sidewalls. For drifting they're cool cuz they're cheap.

For daily i run Falken FK452s and i love them. Just ordered some more too.

what do you meant by saying bigger than normal for the size? are they not good for dry/wet/cold condition?

i recently bought generals uhp after reading all the positive reviews on tirerack. for the price i paid i couldnt be more satisfied. with the hydroplaning resistance, i think i could still pull a g using a pond for a skidpad lol. but seriously i d.d. my car and love them. i have 18's and they arent stretched so i cant help ya out in that area.

they're fine rain/dry/cold/whatever. Just cosmetically, they piss me off. lol

I second that, the Federals are bigger than most other brands given the same size. I didn't realize it untill they got mounted on my car.

Almost all tire companies do that with their performance tires.. It's a false sizing to get by tire width regulations and stuff.

should I run federal SS595's upfront of my drift/track car??? or should I get something better??? its hard to find good 15" tires. what do you guys reccomend??

Uh, RE01R's come in 15' and are like 105 ea at City Tire Online..

I don't recommend running Federals in the front for anything..

Never used them but they're made by Federal so I'm sure they're a shitty performance tire. Although I'm sure there's 4 dozen members ready to flame me after I post this.

Here just to RS2 on the front and Feddy in the rear.
I've used UHP there not bad basically a step up from Feddy but with a lot more wet grip.

Try stuff out.

Dude... I've said it like 4 times already... With City Tire Online's awesome prices for RE01R's there is no reason why you should be wasting money on some crap ass budget brand tire.

RE01R is 105/ea which is expensive for me right now, low budget. I'd love to get them later on. Currently, I only have enough for something around 70/ea so General UHP sounds good.

Try something out. Get it... If you really dunno just get the UHP and the Feddies... Try them both out. If you want something go get GForces sports... There good prices and have some grip.

IMO If your still learning just get the Feddies for now. Don't be dumb learn on them then slowly upgrade yourself. If yourself a limit on tires and learn there and slowly learn from there. This is the way I learn.

I got UHP's like 2 years ago when they frist came out. they were really cheap when they first came out but I guess now that they are known they raised the prices. anyways they are comparable to a falken 512 or federal 595 I think. im going for a set of falken rt615....75 each I beleive.

I think you should save up for the right tires. Tires are the second most important thing for your car's performance (the driver is the first). If you cheap out you will regret it in the long run. If you need something to roll around on for a month or so just get some used tires for temporary use. Every time that I have ever gone the cheap route so that I could have it now I regreted it in the long run.

RE01Rs are the shiiiiiit
i love those tires
100% awesome

but i still like AD07s like 800 tmies more
those are better, imo
grip like fucking NUTS and drift sooo smoooooth and consistent

RE01Rs do too but not as great as AD07s

DZ101s are really nice and cheaper
going to try those Z1s

SS595s are great because cheap and last a good whiel just the grip imo, is lacking. Id bump up tire size if i ran those again

The RS version seems great, havent tried it though.

HTM on the 27th, ill run the DZ101s and some of my RE01Rs in the back. grip city! woo woo should be awesome. so sad to kill RE01Rs in one day but somethings just need to be done. 245/40/18 bye bye.
