Seth rarely gets a chance to dip money in the car from last we spoke. He has either purchased a new engine harness due to some wiring gremlins or needed to save up to find a new rb25det harness for his car.
some weird coil pack spark issue that they cannot track for the life of them, quite possibly a bad ecu as well.

Sorry for the lack of updates on the car, but honestly there hasnt been much. First it was the lack of money but for the past 3 months Ive been dealing with this BS.
Attn: Carl H: RB20 / RB25 / RB26 Forum: Nissan Forums / Infiniti Forums - NICOclub I hate posting that link on this website, but supposedly this dude is the best of the best when it comes to RB's however its taken him 3 months to do a simple depin and wiring job on my harness. I was so frustrated with the non running crap I figured it was just worth paying a professional the extra money to make it perfect. I guess I was wrong. Hopefully this car will be going soon, even though winter is going to be here in a month or so.

Harness is now back in my hands, and has been repaired. Also gave me a refund for all of the headaches. Hoping to have some updates this weekend and with more pics.

Well 3 months of waiting for the same result, car is still running on the front 3 cylinders. Ive changed, ignitors, CAS's, ECU's and now the entire harness. Im going to try one more thing but if this fails Im yanking this stupid motor and going a different direction.
Biggest thing that pisses me off, is that it idles and sounds amazing when its running, just sucks that its making 80hp on 3 cylinders. /end rant

Not a stupid question, and yes a compression test was done and its perfect all across the board. For some reason its getting power when testing but the rear bank is dead when the car starts.
Looks like Im on the hunt for a new harness. Rad.

It had two dead coilpacks but those have been replace with brand new ones. All 6 work now, and weve even switched the front and rear banks out. Im really thinking its in the harness.
I dont think any troubleshooting was ever done on it because the only thing that looks any different when I got it back was the harness plug that was replaced.

On my gf's R32 the coilpack harness went bad, and it was only firing on 4 cylinders for awhile. We swapped it out for another one, and was running great.

I was referring to a little bit of both I guess...lol. The wife is buying me a new engine harness and coilpack harness from a fellow zilvia member tonight. So hopefully this fixes the problem. This car needs to be out and running instead of being a jackstand racer in my garage....lol
