RB20 HX35 Top Mount clearance problems
Whats up guys, I just bought a CXRacing top mount manifold to run my HX35 on my RB20. Once I bolted it up and mounted the turbo, I could see that there was no way that the turbo was going to clear the cam covers, the turbo barley clears the cam alone. I know that its a big turbo but I still feel like the flange on the manifold should never be this pitched towards the motor, there's enough clearance to the strut tower without a doubt, even if it was pitched towards the struts instead of the motor. Anyone run into this problem or any fixes to this problem? I don't want to hear, "run a smaller turbo" or "buy a new manifold".

yeap same issue with my H1C i had to grind the valve cover and a tad on the exhaust housing.. manifold lasted 4 years but horrible fitment. .. the junction is backwards. must be cut and flipped.
edit ........ your manifold is very pitched that's worst than mine. there is no safe fix man.... I would hope no one would lie to you.. they are just poorly designed.. but like I said mine was not nearly as bad as your manfold. hit my guy up For All Your Performance Car Parts - Hybrid Performance affordable good quality manifolds. my fitment with GT3540r if you Really want to try and run that manifold only option would be grind the turbo down literally and cut and weld a indentation into the cam cover... but that's just asking for catastrophic failure.
