I had a party at my house yesterday and had my DD ( scion xb ) parked outside. I told my girlfriend to move her car from the street next to my car near my house. So she ends up hitting my car backing up. My car has a 4k custom green paint job... She clipped mydoor near the hinge and its unable to be pulled out. So basically I have to get a new door and fix the 18 inch scratch on the driver side of my car.

Whats the best possible outcome in the long run.

it is your fault, you ASKED a drunk lady to move the car. you should just suck it up and claim your own insurance. if you know she is a struggling student, than it is not cool to have her to pay for it.

Straight up if you just want your car fixed, insurance is the way to go, otherwise you will end up gettin quoted for damage and re-spray and hope she pays for it

You brought about the incident, you have to figure it out... if she's expendable, turn it into her insurance and if she gets pissed and leaves, oh well.

I used to do SQ contest so my scion used to be a show car. Scion has no trunk so bass goes through the whole car.
It shows how big of a douche DOOK is, to have to bring my car into this? No need to judge just because I drive a scion.
It gets 35 mpg, can hold 6 tires in the back with ease, and the bump is unbeatable.

It's not off topic because if she claims you told her to move it while she was intoxicated, there might be some legal issues. Though I really don't know im no lawyer.

Sorry to say but you kinda owned yourself. Why would you ask a drunk person to move a vehicle? If you want her to pay for the damage but she doesnt have disposable income to pay for it, then you might wanna go through insurance. But when you file a report, the agents are gonna get a statement from both parties, so make sure your girl doesnt say she was drunk or she might get screwed big time. Just suck it up and deal with it for now.

That can be insurance, but remember she along with you will have to pay a deductible and her insurance will go up.

Her being drunk is all "heresay" at this point. She could easily deny that fact because her level of intoxication is based soley on your personal interpretation. You're just as culpable since you knowingly asked a "drunk" person to drive a car.

I read your original post, too. It seems you were looking for sympathy, but are not getting any. Let insurance handle it. That's probably the cheapest way for you, but more expensive for her in the long run because of insurance premiums. From the way it sounds, she won't even be around then, so you win.

its cool, I talked to her today. Shes covering it, shes gotta work overtime but Imma get it appraised and shell cover from there.

I was sort of just tripping out because of the custom paint.

He won't have to pay a deductible being as how he isn't at fault. Her insurance will have to pay for his car damages. So the only one who's rates are going to go up is hers.
