I wanted to know if you could put a s13 manual transmission on a s14 motor. I currently have have an auto on my s14 and wanted to know if this has been done or can it be done. Also, if it would be worth it. I have never driven a manual car so really dont want to wast alot of money on a new or used s14 transmission just to mess up the transmission.

Yes you can use the S13 transmission.

Remember the s14 trans has a crank sensor on the upper part of the d/s bellhousing that the s13 doesn't. I'm not sure if you can swap the bellhousings from A/T to M/T but you'll avoid the CEL if you can.

i have a 95 ka with an 89 tranny it bolts right up the only difference is the sensors...

It will bolt up. I'm just worried that the missing crank angle sensor won't cause problems

Will the sensors from the s13 transmission plug right up to the s14 harness or would am i able to swap the sensors over? I would like to put a s13 auto trans into my 95 auto since its cheaper and easier to find.

Ive heard you can just drill the hole for the cas sensor on the bellhousing, or just find a bellhousing for an OBD2 car.

Thanks i still have the tranny off the s14 its just throwing a CEL because of the transmission. I can swap the bellhousings over. Just wondering if the harness plugs up to the sensors or if i can swap the sensors over.

Sorry to bump this thread. I'm doing the same thing. Do I have to get a s13 or s14 clutch for the s13 tranny. And how about the T/O bearing and fork, will the s13 one work just fine?

S13 clutch kit will work. They're the same.
