s13 confirming info on j30 lsd and axles

so ive been searching around and after already getting the wrong set of axles i just want to make sure i got this straight.

i have an s13 with what i think is the newer j30 vlsd because it is the 6 bolt one. i got 6 bolt j30 axles but the one seems too long so i guess the i needed the j30 axles for the earlier j30 diff.

so if i go to advance auto and order oem 240sx axles will they be the right ones need for this diff in this car? that is what i gathered from searching and just want to make sure its right. is there a certain model 240 i need the axles from?

thanks for the help.

The only j30 diff that will work with 240sx axles is the 95-96 j30 diff it has a five bolt axle

dont listen to the guy above me, 95-96 was a 6 bolt axle flange and you can use your stock 240sx axles and an abs 240sx driveshaft

93 j30 diff was a 5 bolt axle flange and you need 93 j30 axles to fit it onto a 240sx. and you need an abs driveshaft

94 j30 was a split year and i believe they changed the axle shaft half way through so just avoid that year and avoid the confision.

this information is readily available in the archive and faq section. If the OP had managed to do a search before asking this question he would have found it.
As usual an already answered question got asked followed by a post of misinformation which then lead to the need of a correction.

Search before asking it leads to less confusion.

simple... the older j30 uses a 5 bolt set up..all you need is the j30 diff and j30 5 bolt axles for that diff...its a new one just drop your old diff and put the newer j30 diff on ( which are both 6 bolt).. thats it.. ppl make this harder than what it is.
