taxes. on everybody. I don't think a 1% flat rate across the board is going to hurt anyone.
I don't know what cutting medicare is gonna do either besides hurt people, nursing homes and care facilities are now just cutting back on labor so yes they save that money, but now they're taking more jobs away.. I'm not big into politics, I can't stand how everyone in Washington can't get along, but its past that stage. Put your differences aside and fix the damn problem. |

Then after that, we'll force corporations to stay in America so we can over tax them and they'll have nowhere to run. The american dream lives on..... Last edited by Agamemnon; 08-09-2011 at 04:56 PM.. |

Love how people who pay no income tax say "Tax the Rich". How about the 50% of American that don't pay taxes, pay their fair share.
Did you get a tax refund?

Lol the only reason they go overseas is because they can't afford the taxes and expenses here. Your force them to come back, you might as well close the doors because shit is too expensive here. It makes no sense to punish the people who get college educations and put there neck on the line to make a lot of money, and employ hundreds of people. If they are going to raise taxes, they need to do it on 100% of America, not 5%, thats like taking a 30 year loan on a $10k car, why even bother?

Moving this thread to Loud Noises, where none of the posts in the ensuing argument will count toward post counts.

Yeah tax the wealthy, because the broke ass people in the world are the ones investing money and creating successful corporations. Some people do the right things and get money other don't, you earn it you should keep it just as much as anyone else.
We do need some sort of reform to keep huge corporations from avoiding all taxes. |

i work for one of the regional support commands in afghanistan. i see how much money is dumped in this shithole country. how about 20 billion? just in afghan aid THIS YEAR alone. thats not including the cost of us being over here. our on spending. so take 50 billion/ year out of the yearly debt, and things would be much different. just saying. 50 billion goes a long way.. its not the answer but we sure as hell wouldnt hear about our credit ratings going down, killing our market. its so frustrating. i just gave 150k to some afghans to dump poo water out of an ANA base that doesnt get used for the purpose we built it. for all we know the taliban are taking up camp there because they magically disappear when the americans come. ok /rant

pakistan is where most taliban are coming from. its going to take more than a few billion to take care of them. money doesnt solve anything especially these people. you give a little, they take a lot and then insist for more. which is why they have us by our balls right now. the haqqani network of taliban are what i deal with on a daily basis. they come from pakistan on j-bad road which just so happens to be the road my base is on YAY. fuck this is a topic that gets my blood boiling. please forgive me.

^I think one way or another it would wind up being a donation in the long run. And then more donations in the form of aid afterward. And if we did charge they couldn't afford it. And the countries that can afford it either don't need it or wouldn't want it.
